Photos of the Two Resorts We Stayed At

Aren't these beautiful? When we arrived at 4 PM on New Year's Eve we had difficulty finding a reasonable place to stay. (Didn't make reservations!) After searching long and hard we were ready to turn around and drive home for the night. That was a 3.5 hour drive. The Lord was good to provide a gentleman who had an "in" and he made a call for us. He found us a hotel for half the price and that was on the beach. We switched rooms every night and then even hotels on the last night. Each night our stay got cheaper and cheaper.... No crowing roosters, barking dogs or load music all hours of the night. Just fire-crackers.

Oh you guys, Ixtapa is a beautiful place. Other than enjoying the beauty, I am so very happy that you got some good nights sleep.
What is the average temperature you are experiencing?

motsgj,
We were so blessed to get to be in Ixtapa. I am dreaming about going again. I´d say average temperature is 90 degrees. I had planned on being perfectly comfortable while here, avoiding all the rain and gloominess of hteh Willamette Valley. Well, the last part is true but we are far from comfortable. We are usually clammy and sweaty which is enough to make you want to take more than one shower a day. Occasionally a cooler day will arrive and it is always a welcomed surprise. Since our house has no windows, it is difficult to keep out the heat. Do I sound like I am complaining? I don´t mean to; I will take this over the rain and clouds anyday.
