OUR MISSION STATEMENT
PICK FOR THE DAY
Recently our family visited a resort town named Ixtapa. We were delighted to get to visit with the many Americans on vacation. These Americans were interested in the details of our lives in Mexico. A common question was, "Aren't you concerned for your family's safety?" Recent news had reached them about the the gang activity in a nearby town.
My answer was "No, God had told us 20 years ago that we would be taking this trip. And, if..." and one lady finished my sentence for me, "God had brought you to Mexico, than He will protect you while you are here."
Couldn't have said it better myself!

That is crazy. Sorry you've been sick by the way. Seeing all those home sure makes me quite a bit more grateful to live comfortably in the US... even our worst place has been a beautiful home compared to those... another reason to count our blessings and continue praying for those less fortunate.
Joellen, this is why I posted these pictures. In America, you would not find people even close to this level of poverty. And, this is not even as bad as some that we have seen. I felt that no words were needed with this post. One of my goal's for this blog is to show real Mexico, at it's worst and at it's best.
